Personality - Uniqueness

This is some of my fashion designs I worked with under the theme of personality. This is where I was particularly looking at unique personalities. I used colour and shape to display a vibrant extrovert personality that would stand out. I was focused on creating innovative designs that would portray an identity. I found that print was something I was drawn to using to create a stand out effect. I used collage to experiment and make my designs textural and easier to visualize in 3D designs.

Personality - Structure

I was focusing on the theme of personality and was looking at what makes up personality. A big thing I kept coming back to was structure. I was intrigued by how a structure can build up our personality. I took my ideas into a 3D form and made a structure using paper art straws. I developed this idea further by creating sketches with different techniques and Medias of my 3D piece to enable me to gain a deeper understanding about structures.

Personality - Adventurous

For this piece I used my previous designs and put them into a personality concept to compliment my theme. I wanted unusual fashion designs so I could represent original personalities I also used bold colouring to show this. I wanted the designs to be personal about a unique identity. I did this through imagery. I was very focused on extrovert personalities and was inspired by a trip to Brighton. To incorporate my inspiration into my designs I used my primary Images of graffiti from Brighton to make up a print. I was fascinated by the graffiti representing an adventurous personality.

Personality - Internal self

For this piece I was working with the theme personality. I had previously been interested by unique personalities. I started to develop this idea and look at what makes up our personality and our internal self. I was intrigued by the fact that what people may know as our personality may in fact be different to what our personality actually is. For example one person may see someone as quiet, but if you explore them deeper there is a lot more to that person. I used batik paper trapping to portray these ideas.

Personalty- complexity

I have been looking at personality as my theme. Within personality I have been looking at complexity as there are many different layers to each individual. I created this idea using techniques such as weaving, trapping and felting. I also used vibrant and bold colours to show a unique identity as this was something else I have been focusing on.

Relationships - flourish

With this piece I was working under the theme relationships. I was interested in how our feelings can completely create a different perspective on something. I represented this idea by embellishing my piece. I used Angelina because this made my black screen print look completely different. I wanted the Angelina to show the emotions of relationships and how emotions can change something.

Relationships - Burnt emotion

Whilst focusing on relationships I looked at emotion. I created this idea through a cellotape transfer technique using magazine rip outs. I wanted to develop this idea further though so I experimented with netting. I burnt netting and began to trap this over the top of my cellotoape transfer to represent how people can be trapped under what society wants us to be. The idea of the burnt netting on top of the emotion was to show that society can burn emotions out of us.
